Program Information 

Andersonville NHS includes the Civil War site of Camp Sumter military prison, Andersonville National Cemetery, and the National Prisoner of War Museum. Our mission is to preserve the resources and stories that illustrate the experiences of American prisoners of war throughout U.S. history and to educate the public about the deadliest ground of the Civil War.

Job Description 

国产偷拍视频Volunteer opportunities include:

  • assisting at the museum information desk 
  • assisting with maintenance of the national cemetery
  • participating in special events such as Memorial Day and Wreaths Across America
  • assisting with our Avenue of Flags
  • participating in our Living History Weekend by portraying a Civil War soldier or civilian (re-enactment). 

Requirements 

  • Minimum age 18 for visitor center, maintenance, and Avenue of Flags; no minimum age for special events or living history. 
  • Training will be provided.
  • For living history, period correct dress will be provided.
  • For other activities, appropriate dress includes short or long-sleeved shirt (a volunteer shirt may be provided), long pants, and closed toe shoe

Hours 

Museum 9 am-4:30 pm daily.

Other tentative dates and times:

  • Living history-11/8/19 4 pm-9 pm, 3/7/20-3/8/20 all day.
  • Avenue of Flags-mornings of 9/6/19, 9/25/19, 11/1/19, 11/13/19, and 4/3/20. Events 9/19/19-9/20/19, 12/13/20-12/14/20, 5/23/20-5/26/20.
